Rating: AA
Pros: It, um… Rolls. Also, once you can get the freaking thing into robot mode, it looks snazzy.
Cons: Bits break off, plastic's bent and the thing takes about 15 minutes to actually do anything.

Riiiiight, so not being content with just ONE Transformer, I wound up with another. Well, another couple. I figured that while I think about work or work-related endeavours, these things are great to sort of snap around. It's like a Zen garden, or a Rubik's cube, but for an idiot.

Just like to give a quick shout out to The Angry Video Game Nerd. His video game reviews are as well-recorded as his swear words are uniquely formed.

 
If you have not heard of him or of his reviews I will quickly fill you in on his vital community service. 'The Nerd' review old games, usually on the NES system. It appears that a lot of old Nintendo games were indeed un-finish-able crap. As anyone who ever played Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the old NES will agree.


The AVGN takes us back 10-15 years ago and reviews all the games that we wanted to play when we were kids. It is good to know I was not the only one who wanted to get Double Dragon 2. It is also worth noting that he articulates exactly why every one of these games suck balls, which makes you feel really glad that you never fought with 'Jimmy and Bimmy' in Double Dragon 2.

Watching the reviews makes you think back to how bad the games and controls used to be, and how we paid $90 for that crap (and liked it). I therefore strongly suggest you watch them before venturing into old Nintendo terrain or trying to use Sega's 32x. Certainly don't go anywhere near a Power Glove without watching this review

  
Awesomeness would henceforth like to acknowledge AVGN's contribution to society and label him as officially Awesome. One condition apply does apply though, and that's his choice of beer. Can we get Rolling Rock in the this country? Is it any good? This is important stuff people!

Awesomeness Rating: AAAA

Pros: Is FF7 in modern PSP form (less the absolutely gripping "I know its 4am, I need to wake up at 6am, but I must to know what happens next" vibe).

Cons: FF7, I can't stay mad at you.

OK, so here we have a spin off from FF7 all bundled up in PSP format.

What this game is all about is 'back story'. It just fills you in on everything you did and did not want know about Midgar and the world of FF7 (such as the origin of Cloud's big-ass sword).

CC takes you back to a time when Sephiroth was good and still working for Shinra. A lot of familiar faces appear too
